Basic Package

The Basic package includes basic landscape details, lettering, and shading. The main component that sets the Basic package apart from the other two packages is the amount of details given to the topography of the map. The Basic package uses the individual mountain method for mountain ranges, whereas the other two packages use the ridgeline method. The Basic package also utilizes the "cloud tree" method for forests if the forests are very large (more than 50% of the map's landscape).

Standard Package

The Standard package includes standard landscape details, lettering, and shading. This is the most popular map package. This package utilizes the ridgeline method for mountain ranges and the individual tree method for forests. The shading work used in this package is more substantial than the shading work of the Basic package. However, the smaller details and illustrations of the the Premium package are not included.

Premium Package

Pull out all the stops for this one! The Premium package includes the most thorough landscape details, lettering, and shading of which I am capable. This package utilizes the ridgeline method for mountain ranges and the individual tree method for forests. The shading work used in this package is more substantial than the shading work of the other two packages, and small details and illustrations can be included. This package also includes a customized compass rose as specified by you.

Compass Roses

Since the first writing utensils met paper to draw a map, a compass has been an utmost essential map component. A map is virtually unreadable without proper orientation! Ever wonder why compasses look so fancy on some maps? My theory is that the compass rose allows the cartographer to express a bit of artistic freedom, and it sure does that for me!
Here are just a few examples of compasses I have drawn in the past. The possibilities are endless with compasses, so tell me what you're thinking and we will create it!
